AI balance
Playgent Forge, the AI that writes your games and puzzles, is paid from your workspace's balance as you use it. Top up any time, and see every cent in Usage. Or bring your own model key and pay your provider instead.
What the balance pays for
- Chat with Playgent Forge in Studio, and requests from AI assistants.
- Generated puzzles, when you fill days on the schedule.
- Web search, when the chat researches a topic or the news.
- Picture search, yours and the automatic pictures on Trivia questions.
Everything else is free: editing puzzles by hand, Playgent's own daily puzzles, publishing, uploading pictures and playing.
The balance belongs to the workspace and is shared by its members. Your first workspace starts with $5.

Making a game, or a week of puzzles, typically costs a few cents. The same prices are in SettingsBillingPrices.
See your spending
Go to SettingsUsage. Balance shows what's left. Usage lists the last 30 days, by day: chat, generated puzzles, searches and top-ups, each with its amount.
Top up
Press Top up
In SettingsUsage, or on the sidebar card when the balance runs low.
Pick an amount
$10, $25, $50 or $100.
Pay on the secure checkout page
You come back to Usage with the amount added.
Owners and Admins can top up. Other members who press Top up can send a message to the team instead.
When the balance runs low
- Under $1, the sidebar shows what's left and a Top up button.
- At $0, the chat, fills and searches stop until you top up. A reply already running finishes. Your games keep playing: players never notice.
Use your own model key
Prefer your own AI account? Add a key from a supported provider, such as Anthropic, OpenAI or Google Gemini, and the chat and fills run on it, with no charge to the balance.
- Go to SettingsModels.
- Under Language models, press Add key next to your provider, paste the key and press Save key.
- Under Default model, choose the Provider and Model, then Save changes.
Keys are stored encrypted, and Studio only shows that one is saved. Owners and Admins can add keys.
You can also add your own web search key under Web search. Searches then run on your account, without Playgent's daily limit. Picture search always uses Playgent's, paid from the balance.
