Your sites
By default, your games run on any website that pastes their code. List your own sites to keep them there: anywhere else, the game says it isn't available.
Add a site
Open the list
Go to SettingsEmbedYour sites.
Type the address
In Add a site, type the site's address, such as
example.com. You can paste a full link too: only the address is kept.Choose about subdomains
Leave Include subdomains on to also allow
www.example.com,news.example.comand any other address under it.Press Add site
It saves at once. Live games use the new list within a minute, with no update.
To remove a site, press the bin icon on its row.
How addresses match
| You list | Matches | Doesn't match |
|---|---|---|
example.com | example.com | www.example.com, news.example.com |
example.com with Include subdomains | example.com, www.example.com, a.b.example.com | example.org, myexample.com |
- Addresses match on any scheme and port.
- Typing
*.example.comturns Include subdomains on. - Names in other alphabets work: they are stored in their standard ASCII form.
- You can list up to 50 sites.
- IP addresses can't be listed. Use a site name.
Testing on your computer
localhost and 127.0.0.1, on any port, can always show your games, so there is no need to add them. Other local addresses, such as mysite.localhost, [::1] or a network address like 192.168.1.20, can't show games once the list has a site in it. Use localhost while you build.
What readers see on other sites
On a site that isn't listed, the game shows This game isn’t available on this site, and your page gets an error event with code: "origin" (see page events).
Share links always work, whatever the list says, because they open on Playgent's own address.
Who can change the list
Owners, Admins and Developers can add and remove sites. Other roles see the list but can't change it.
