Share links
Every published game has its own link. Anyone can open it on a phone or computer and play right away: no website, no sign-in. Send it in a newsletter, a message or a social post.
Get the link
- Publish the game, see Publish and update.
- In the game's top bar, press Embed.
- Under Share link, press Copy link. Click the link itself to open it in a new tab.
A share link looks like this:
https://p.playgent.com/g/pg_7hk2qp0azxThe part after /g/ is the game's id, the same one as in its embed code. It never changes.
What people see
- The game alone, on a clean page made for phones.
- The page's title is the game's Name on the cover, or the game type's name if there is none.
- The game's Share button shares this same link.
Share links are left out of search engines, so a game shows up in search only through your own pages.
When the link works
| The game is… | The link |
|---|---|
| Published | Opens the game. Updates show within a minute. |
| Taken offline | Stops working. It comes back when you press Publish again. |
| Paused because the workspace has no plan | Stops working until the workspace has a plan again. |
| Deleted | Stops working for good. |
Your sites doesn't apply to share links: they work for everyone.
Share links can't be framed
The share page opens only as a page of its own. Put inside a frame on another website, it stays empty. That way nobody can use the link to show your game on a site you haven't allowed. To show a game on your site, use the embed code.
From an AI assistant
When an assistant publishes a game for you, it gets the share link back and can give it to you in the chat. See AI assistants.
