Analytics

See how often your games are shown, started and finished, for the whole workspace or one game at a time. Everyone in the workspace can see analytics.

Open Analytics

Press Analytics in the sidebar. A wide panel opens beside it.

  1. Choose a range at the top: 7 days, 30 days or 90 days. It starts on 30.
  2. Read the five numbers across the top.
  3. Hover over the Plays chart, or move through it with the arrow keys, to see each day.
  4. Scroll to Games for each game's numbers. Click a game's name to open it.

What the numbers mean

NumberWhat it counts
ImpressionsTimes a game was shown: at least half of it was on screen. Once per page load.
PlaysTimes a game was started: the puzzle opened and its clock started.
Start ratePlays per impression. How many people who saw a game started it.
Completion ratePlays finished to the end, whether won, lost or solution shown.
Avg. timeTime spent per finished play.

A dash means there is nothing to count yet.

One game's numbers

Open a game and press Analytics in its top bar. You see the last 90 days: Impressions, Plays, Completion rate, Avg. time, and plays per day.

What gets counted

  • Only published games, on your sites and share links. Previews in Studio are never counted.
  • Days follow UTC.
  • Numbers cover the last 90 days.
  • Impressions are counted by the embed script. A game added with a plain iframe instead of the script still counts plays and completions, but not impressions.
  • At very high traffic, counts are close estimates.

Privacy

Analytics are anonymous counts. They keep no names, emails, cookies or IP addresses, and nothing in them can point to a person. See player data.

Ask an assistant

Connected AI assistants can read the same numbers. Ask "How many people played my games today?" See Things to ask.

Send events to your own analytics

To see plays in Google Analytics or your own tools, use the game's page events, or add data-datalayer to the embed code to send them to Google Analytics 4.
